Pretty fun game, I was able to play it on my mobile device, While the game isin't too long to finish and even then I died at the end, it seemed pretty easy to understand how to play even though I was kinda hoping there would be a pause menu but overall good game for it being my first ever mobile game to play off of itch.

mouse is lagging behind which makes the game feel awful. might be a nice game if this is changed

What browser are you using (if this is a problem in the web version)?

I tested it on firefox and with linux executable. Both are laggy
I am running kali with xfce. Nothing else was lagging at the time

I probably can't help you in any way, I tested the build on all available PCs and everything worked fine:(

I played the game on the itch.io website: I'm running Firefox on a Linux desktop with Mint and XFCE installed directly on physical hardware, and there was no lag for me. Just thought I'd mention it.

I wonder if there is a way to remove the curses that you accrue when your stress bar fills up? Right now, it seems like your best strategy is to just restart the game when you become afflicted--because the play times are so short (so the cost of restarting is low), and the curses are so devastating (so the cost of continuing is high). If there were some way to *remove* a curse, though, that could tip the cost-benefit ratio enough to keep people playing even after they've been cursed?

I just wanted to say that I'm not restarting every run: Out of my first three runs, I was killed on the first two, while I was still figuring out how things worked. I got very badly cursed on my third run, after an extended famine right out of the gate, before I could get any real resiliency. The curses snowballed pretty quickly into an unwinnable game. On the fourth run, I was very careful to manage hunger and weapons, and--with a bit of luck--sailed through to the end.

Yes, I'm thinking about it. In the comments, they suggested sacrificing relics. I'm still thinking about spending the maximum number of lives. For now, I'm thinking it would be better to

The version on the website, playing as Vampire, if you Subjugate the enemy, then drag a weapon and attack it on your deck, it dies but glitches the allocated slot and declares it as used, preventing other cards to be collected. Had to restart.

The new Vampire character's bite ability seems to be bugged. It began at 1 damage, and after the first use decreased to 0 damage instead of increasing per the character description. Can't wait to try him out once that's fixed!

It's my bad that I didn't describe the ability in detail, but I wanted the players to understand it themselves:(

Every time an enemy dies from a bite, the ability increases its strength by +1. After use, it loses half of its strength.

Try it again when you know it :)

Should probably make it so it can't go below 1. Because if you don't somehow miraculously realize that's how it works on your first ever use. Then the skill becomes useless for the rest of the run, which is what happened to me as well. I used it after a trap revealed multiple enemies, which did kill one of them, but didn't kill the rest. Which triggered the halving like 3 times and set damage to 0 instantly, killing the run, since late game you need your skill to do stuff, as enemy hp outscales weapon damage/charges. 

Knight experience was solid though, won on my first run and everything worked as expected.

This still seems to be bugged for me. With only a single 1/1 enemy on the field, I used the bite ability. This killed the enemy but still reduced the skill power to 0. If the description of the skill says that it gets stronger after every use, having it get weaker for any reason seems strange.

Edit: I intentionally tried killing two enemies at the same time to see if that helped, but it still reduced the skill power to 0.

After using the skill, the spell's power is reduced by 2 times. If the power was 1, then after using it it becomes 0.

To increase the power, you need to kill enemies with a normal bite, i.e. tap/click on the enemy

The game definitely needs a tutorial. The little icon next to my character pic, I didn't know I can click on it. I only found it out by watching the trailer ( your last short on YouTube).

Another thing: sometimes, when I attack an enemy, it's card gets crooked.

Would be really nice to have a way to get more cards in hand by buying then or something else.

There are only 5 cards in the hand for this character (Knight). In the full version of the game, one of the characters will have more than 5 cards. And the other one has less than 5..O_o

Wouldn't it be better if the card that recovers 3 more hunger when used on another card in hand, instead of just 3, recovered the value of the card it was used on?

There's an enemy that is supposed to have its attack increased for each revealed enemy, but it seems to increase for any kind of reveal, both on browser-version and the download. Great game, btw. Looking forward to more updates. Please let us reach the options-menu without having to end the run. I want to be able to mute and unmute the music.

great game, feels like Darkest Dungeon if it was a card game. Very fun finding neat equipment synergies. Keep it up!

I had a bug on my first run where all my weapons did 1 damage and didn't lose durability when used. I'm on web-version.

Edit: It wasn't a bug, it just seemed like one. You have to drag weapons. So when I tap a weapon, the card moves, making it seem like it's activated. Should probably change that.

I loved the game!

Sometimes, when I drop the key on the door the cards don't merge and the key still can be dragged, but I can't go to the next floor.

Yesterday, this problem was fixed and no new crashes occurred :( but I will continue testing

yes i played at web.
Btw web has another bug when started the game it shows localizaiton.menu..play etc... the only one workerkoudn which i find was click on settings , click at left arrow to change language again back to english and click on butotn back after that i could play the game.

in browser version, magic card that can reduce 3 hunger doesn't work, have already put it on everywhere

didn't realized it cost an additional card, the description needs to be updated.

btw that item "restore hunger when open a trap card" is too underpowered, consider the chance for a trap card, better balance it.

I've hit 3 enemies and crashed, 4 enemies and crashed, then 3 enemies without a crash. The crashes were on later floors. I'll see if I can get the error message.

Floor 19, crashed from hitting 4 enemies. Out of memory.
